Harper White Named ACC Defensive Player of the Week

CLEMSON, S.C. – Senior defender Harper White has been named the ACC Defender of the Week and a member of the College Soccer News National Team of the Week for the first time in her career, as announced on Tuesday morning. White registered a career-high two assists in the win over No. 6 Notre Dame and played all 90 minutes anchoring the Tiger defense.

White and the Tigers shut out the Fighting Irish for the first time all season and held them to a season low 14 shots. She has started in all but one match and has seamlessly transitioned to center back after spending the 2021 season in the midfield. White has been a consistent presence for the Tigers, playing in 66 matches in her career while registering 13 points.

White and the Tigers will continue ACC play this Thursday, Sept. 22 as they take on Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, N.C. Kickoff is slated for 8 p.m. and will be streamed on ACC Network.
