"All In" Sunshine State Tight End Commits to Clemson

Clemson and Head Coach Dabo Swinney picks up the tight end they have been seeking in this 2020 class in the form of Tallahassee, Fl native Sage Ennis.  Ennis who was just in Clemson over the past week participating in the Dabo Swinney Camp.  Came home and decided it was time to announce a commit to the defending National Champions.

With an offer list that included hometown FSU, Penn State, Miami, Ole Miss, Louisville, NCST, West Virginia and  South Carolina  just to name a few.  Ennis makes commitment # 18 in the 2020 Class. This class is expected to top out at the 21-23 range.  With needs still there at Line Backer and Wide Receiver.

We had the chance to speak with Sage about his commitment just moments after he announced for the Tigers.  Our recruiting analyst Neil Burnett spoke with sage and asked him the following:

CSN: Biggest reason you picked Clemson over everyone else?

SE: “It felt like home. I love being there with the players and coaches.”

CSN: Do you plan on being an early enrollee?

SE:  ” Yes I plan to early enroll”

CSN:  What was the message Coaches Swinney and Pearman gave on your way out.

SE: ” They said that they want to get back to using an athletic TE and I could be that guy for them”

CSN: Do you have an idea what you hope to major in?

SE: “Sports Management”

CSN: Players have their pregame music they listen to. What’s in your headsets.

SE:  ” Don’t really listen to a lot of music before pregame. Just focus and do a lot of praying to God”

CSN:  Finally, what kind of player can Clemson fans expect to see for the next 3-4 years

SE:  “They can expect to see the best me. The Clemson coaching staff is going to mold me into the best person I can be on and off the field “
