Tigers Take On Gamecocks in Columbia Thursday in Women’s Soccer

CLEMSON, S.C.  – The Tigers will head to Columbia to face-off against South Carolina on Thursday, September 5. Kick-off is slated for 6:00 p.m. at Eugene E. Stone III Stadium as the match will mark their annual meeting in the Palmetto Series. The match will be broadcasted on ESPNU. 

The Tigers are coming off of a 3-1 win against Campbell in Buies Creek, N.C. on Sunday. Clemson scored their first of the night against the Fighting Camels on an own goal in the 32nd minute of the match. Shortly after, Christian Brathwaite off the assist from Kam Pickett and Sydney Minarik found the net for her first goal of the season in the 39th minute. Clemson capped off their scoring in the 73rd minute when Bodak found the net for the second time this year to cap off the victory.

South Carolina enters the match with a recent 0-0 tie against Miami (OH) on the road as they are currently 2-0-2 this season. Clemson leads the Palmetto Series against the Gamecocks all-time 16-11-3.
