Tiger Hoops gets Surprise Commitment to ’20 Class

July 28th was a pretty good day for Clemson fans when big DT Payton Page committed to Clemson over North Carolina and Tennessee. Later last night, it got a little bit better.

Warren (Lynn) Kidd out of IMG Academy in Florida reclassified from the 2021 class to the 2020 class and committed to Clemson and Brad Brownell. Kidd, 6-10 220, is a BIG get for Brownell, giving the tigers another big man to join 6-10 PJ Hall in the front court.

One of the big reasons he reclassified is the Covid virus. Kidd told ESPN Basketball analyst Paul Biancardi “With Covid, I wasnt sure if there was going to be a high school season. Being at Clemson I can do against Aamir Simms, learn the game and develop. I felt great about the coaches. Coach Brownell makes his players work hard. I like that.”

Kidd committed to Clemson over Auburn, Florida and several other Power 5 schools. He is ranked as the 6th best player in the state of Florida and 13th power forward in the country. More on Kidd to come.
