ARLINGTON, Texas – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its monthly award winners for March on Tuesday, with Clemson slugger Seth Beer named the National Player of the Month.

A native of Suwanee, Ga., Beer is coming off a March where he hit .294 (20-for-68) with eight homers, 20 RBI and a .662 slugging percentage.

In 2018, Beer has hit .283 (32-for-113) with five doubles, 10 homers and 25 RBI, owning 28 walks and just 15 strikeouts. He was also named Tuesday to the midseason watch list for the Golden Spikes Award, which is given to the national player of the year.
