Clemson, SC
Saturday, marks the first Junior days for the 2023 season for the Tigers recruiting staff and coaches. With several roster spots to be filled, expect this to be a busy weekend for recruits and parents, as they will be shown the Clemson brand . That brand “Family’ is re-iterated by many but the school that everyone points too is Clemson, and the culture Dabo Swinney has cultivated over the years during his tenure as Tigers head coach.
This 2022 recruiting class took a step back after the post season departures of Tony Elliot and Brent Venables as they took on head coaching positions at Virginia and Oklahoma respectively. That has been addressed in recent weeks with visits going on as the Tigers try to bolster a depleted roster.
This junior day is for the 2023’s that are already seeing offers being extended. The head liner of this weeks Jr Days would be DT Peter Woods. And there is a talented list attending. See here below the players making their way into Tiger Town. As these blue chippers arrive with parents and get the orange carpet treatment.. Go ahead and expect more than a couple commitments to drop for the Clemson staff. These usually drop on Sunday during each recruits “exit interview” with Coach Swinney …afterwards they depart back to their homes and state of origin.
Clemson in 2022 is in a rare position and sitting outside the top10 of recruiting for the first time in almost a decade. Moves are being made during the last week here as national signing day looms next week.
Expect the staff to be on top of hospitality and information about the academics, college life, and of course the state of the program. After the recruits all leave for home we here at CSN will be reaching out several visitors to gauge feelings of their visits to Clemson.
