Iowa State is ranked 10th in the country, right behind Clemson. The Cyclones are allowing only 310 yards a game, 188 yards passing, and 122 yards on the ground. Considering they are 7-5, the defense doesn’t seem to be the problem.

The Iowa State defense is ranked 56th in 3rd down conversion defense (Clemson 22nd) and has accumulated 32 team sacks, and ranked 33rd in tackles for loss with 78.

#35 – LB Jake Hummell. 6-1/235. Senior. Hummel is the leading tackler on a stingy Cyclone defense. He led the team in tackles with 76, added one sack, and had one interception.

#23 – LB Mike Rose. 6-4/250. Senior. Mike Rose is the 2nd leading tackler on the team, registering 37 solo tackles, 73 total tackles, and three sacks. Two of his sacks came in the loss to Oklahoma.

#58 – DE Eiyoma Uwazurike. 6-6/320. Uwazurike is a handful at the end position, racking up 8,5 sacks and 37 tackles. At his size, you can’t miss him on the field and Clemson tackles are going to have their hands full.

#9 – DE Will McDonald IV. 6-4/245. Junior. McDonald is the speed rusher on the other side of Uwazurike. Although he only recorded 22 tackles, 11.5 of those were sacks.

#12 – DB Greg Eisworth II. 6-0/205. Senior. Eisworth is the 3rd leading tackler on the team with 56 tackles and has one interception on the season.
