Football Recruiting: Tigers Offer Peach State Offensive Lineman

The Clemson Tigers have offered their 86th offer last week to OL (center) Connor Lew of Acworth, Georgia.

Lew, 6-3 280, has narrowed his list of 24 offers down to four. Clemson, Georgia, Miami and Auburn will receive summer visits.

The talented center is ranked as the 45th player at his position in the 2023 class. To date, the Tigers have offered 8 offensive tackles and 6 interior offensive linemen. Four of those have committed to other teams so far, so the Tigers are still in it with several highly rated offensive linemen.

For the 2023 class, the Tigers have now handed out 86 offers while Miami has put out 307 offers, Georgia with 222, and Auburn with 228 offers. A Clemson offer really does mean more but with the transfer portal and NIL with million dollar contracts from boosters, the playing field has leveled out. Imagine if the NIL had been around when Trevor Lawrence or Bryan Bresee were high school seniors, would they have become Tigers?

Clemson still does it right.
