Clemson tips off with Syracuse in the last game of the regular season and will be the last time 5 Tigers dawn their jerseys in Littlejohn Coliseum. The Tigers are coming off a close 64-62 win against the Notre Dame fighting Irish. Clemson, however, faces a tough opponent in Syracuse.

 

Syracuse defeated Clemson back in January by a score of 53-61. Marquise Reed led the Tigers in scoring, Reed scored 16 points, making five baskets on 13 attempts and made four out of the five free throws he shot for. Elijah Thomas led the way in rebounds, 7 in total, six defensive rebounds and one offensive rebound. Marquise also led the Tigers in assists with three.

 

Syracuse shot at 41.7% compared to Clemson’s 35.8%. The Tigers had the higher percentage when it came to three pointers. The Tigers shot at 25.0% compared to the Orange’s 23.1%. Clemson struggled with turnovers in this game, turning the ball over 17 times but rebounded the ball 36 times.

 

 

 

 

The Orange are sitting at 6th in the ACC with a 19-11 record and are coming off of an 79-53 loss to No.2 UVA. The Orange average 70.0 points per game, 35.2 rebounds, 12.2 assists and allow their opponents to score on average 65.3 points per game.

 

Offensively, the Orange are led in scoring by Tyus Battle who averages 17.5 points per game and has a field goal percentage of 43.7%. Frank Howard averages 3.0 assists per game and Paschal Chukwu holds the highest field goal percentage on the team coming in at 71.0%

 

Defensively, Oshae Brissett leads the team with 7.5 rebounds per game, Frank Howard leads with 1.4 steals per game and Paschal Chukwu leads the team with 1.7 blocks per game.
