ALL IN: Clemson Signs Defensive End Will Heldt out of the Portal

CLEMSON, S.C. — Head Coach Dabo Swinney and Clemson Football announced today that Clemson has signed defensive end Will Heldt.

Heldt (6-6, 265) signed with Clemson after playing his first two collegiate seasons at Purdue, appearing in all 24 games for the Boilermakers from 2023-24. As a sophomore in 2024, gameday stat crews credited Heldt with 56 tackles (10.0 for loss), 5.0 sacks and a fumble recovery he returned 16 yards for a touchdown. He recorded 2.5 sacks and the 16-yard scoop-and-score in back-to-back games against ranked opponents against Illinois and Oregon in October.

Heldt, 19, is a native of Carmel, Ind., where the Carmel High School product was twice selected to the Indiana Football Coaches Association Top 50 All-State team. He joins the Tigers with two remaining years of eligibility.
