Maryland receiver Jalil Farooq has narrowed his offers of 29 down to seven. The list includes several of the “no brainers” ; Clemson, LSU, Alabama, and Oklahoma. Rounding out the list is Boston College, West Virginia, and Maryland.
Farooq is currently ranked as the 18th best WR in the country in the 2021 class, and the 6th best player in the state of Maryland. The tigers already have three WR’s committed in the 2021 class; Beaux Collins, Dacari Collins and Troy Stellato. Will they take a fourth?
As a junior, Farooq led Wise High School in Upper Marlboro, MD, in receptions with 31 for 718 yards and 11 touchdowns. That’s an eye opening 23.2 yards per catch. In addition to the receptions, he also carried the ball 65 times for another 668 yards and 11 more touchdowns. Wise high school finished the season 15-0 and a 4A State Championship.
