Tigers Move up in National Polls … Now Ranked 11th


CLEMSON, S.C.
– Following two wins over Utah Valley and Utah, the previously ranked No. 19 Clemson Tigers move into the No. 11 spot in the United Soccer Coaches Rankings at the conclusion of week two, as announced on Tuesday.

The Tigers enter week three with a 3-0-1 record after picking up two wins on the road in Utah. Starting goalkeeper, Halle Mackiewicz has successfully earned four clean sheets in all four games for the Tigers.

Before the start of the season, the Tigers were ranked 25th in the preseason poll but then after successfully opening the season against South Carolina and Gardner-Webb, the Tigers moved up six spots to earn the No. 19 ranking at the end of week one. Now, the Tigers move an incredible eight slots upwards to secure the 11th spot. 

Up next, the No. 11 Tigers are back at home to host Furman on Thursday at Historic Riggs Field. Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m.
