Recruiting Update: Texas Tight End De-Commits from Clemson & Recent Offers Extended

Clemson got some news yesterday. Texas3-star TE Reid Mikeska has decommitted from the Tigers. He committed to the Tigers on April 13, and Oklahoma offered May 5th. Hard to blame a kid for wanting to play closer to home. He is currently ranked as the 113th player in the state of Texas and the 41st ranked tight end in the 2023 class. As a junior he recorded 24 catches for 229 yards and 4 touchdowns.

There are a few tidbits regarding offers and visits. Most recently, Clemson offered massive offensive lineman Stanton Ramil, 6-7 310, from Alabaster, Alabama. If you believe 247, one CB has him favoring Auburn. He currently has 27 offers.

The Dabo Swinney Football camp is scheduled for June 1st and 2nd, but several highly recruited prospects are looking to come on June 3rd.

4-star Fairfax, Va, linebacker Tony Rojas is scheduled to be on June 3-5, as well as linebacker Jamal Anderson out of Hoschton, Georgia. Rojas appears to be a Penn State lean while Anderson has the Tigers as a possible lean.

4-star OL Harris Sewell out of Odessa, Texas, has Clemson in his Top 5. The 6-4 290 lineman is currently ranked as the #2 IOL in the country in the 2023 class.

Clemson currently has only four commitments in the 2023 class. As much as fans want to see Dabo be more proactive in the transfer portal, it’s hard to argue with a man that has 11 straight 10+ win seasons. He still recruits the player-student athlete, and has his process.
