Speculations & Rumors: Tony Elliot Offered UT Head Coaching Job?

Rumors and speculation are all over Twitter and social media that Clemson Offensive Co-ordinator Tony Elliot has been offered the University of Tennessee’s head coaching job, and it is his to take. Recently hired athletic director Danny White has been quick to make a “splash” hire it seems sooner rather than later.

Very well respected and spoke of inside the coaching community Tony is no stranger to suitors for his services. The Tigers assistant is only two years removed from winning the Broyles Award as the nation’s top assistant. No one can deny the Clemson alums part in the Tigers climb into the Nations top 3 every season. Now after many such offers, this may be the one to lure Elliot away from his alma mater.

Still rumor and speculation at this point, but with how fast things are moving at UT I would not be surprised if they want to. make an announcement in the next 24-72 hours. They need to make a splash and offset the negativity that is the recruiting scandal. And where does that leave the new head Coach be it Elliot or whoever? Who knows what awaits them in sanctions and scholarship reductions. A lot to play out, CSN will be right here with your intel
