Nahm Named Assistant Women’s Golf Coach

Clemson, S.C. – Katy Nahm has joined the Clemson program as assistant women’s golf coach in January of 2024, it was announced today by Kelley Hester. Prior to joining Hester’s Tiger squad, Nahm was an assistant coach/associate head coach at Kansas.

Before heading to KU in 2011, Nahm spent two years as an instructor/coach at the Hank Haney International Junior Golf Academy in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.  She has a passion for teaching and helping players improve their games. She also is a TPI and NASM certified trainer. 

While at Kansas, the Jayhawks won six tournaments, had 22 top-five finishes and 43 top-10 finishes. Under the development of Nahm, six Jayhawks were able to improve their stroke averages to help the team earn a trip to 2013-2014 NCAA regionals and Nationals for the second time in school history.  She also helped coach Yupaporn Kawinpakorn who was the first women’s golf WGCA All-American at KU in 2016.  

A member of the Professional Golfers’ Association of America, prior to Hank Haney’s Academy, Nahm was an assistant coach at Coastal Carolina from 2007-09 and helped the team to a Big South Conference Championship in 2009. 

Nahm played golf at Coastal Carolina and was a three-time All-Big South selection, as well as the league’s freshman of the year, in 2004. In her sophomore season the Lady Chanticleers won the conference team title and she was the individual runner-up. 

Nahm was a four-time All-American Scholar, a two-time All-Big South Academic selection and played in a school-record 127 rounds. 

The Nichols, South Carolina native graduated with a degree in marketing from Coastal Carolina in 2007 and earned her master’s in business administration from Coastal Carolina in 2009.

She is married to Josh Nahm, who is the Director of Instruction at The National Golf Club of Kansas City.
