Florence is on the way !  Tropical Storm Florence, recently downgraded from a Category 4 Hurricane after coming on shore on he Carolina coast on Friday. . . Has a bead on the upstate as she tracks closer and closer this way.  However, the track and forecast did not deter the University after careful discussion of resources and  weather forecast from carrying on with the Clemson versus Georgia Southern game now rescheduled for 12pm.

With forecast models all over the place for kickoff. . . It looks like the game will start out in fair weather and look for the winds to start gusting around half time.  With a windy day expected look for the Tigers to try and get the ground game up and running literally as the staff mentioned many times during this weeks media availability that the run game has to become more of an emphasis moving forward.  No better game in our eyes to get your line and back in sync than this one right before the Tigers start ACC conference play.

Another area to keep your eyes on will be participation by the freshman class the like of Xaveir Thomas, KJ Henry, Derion Kendrick, Lynn J Dixon, Braden Galloway and of course Trevor Lawrence.

As far as the QB’s go . . .  Dabo mentioned to us that this rotation will remain status quo.  In other words look for the same game plan as the first two games with a scripted set of drives set aside for the Lawrence .  But Bryant will again draw the start.  The senior leader of the Tigers offense showed a lot of character and leadership with a solid game in a hostile environment in College Station last Saturday.  Leading the Tigers on their way to a 28-26 thriller of a win and a 2-0 start on the young 2018 season.

Georgia Southern has some nice pieces like Werts and Kennedy on the offensive side of the ball.  But it’s an overwhelming gap in talent that will eventually over take the Eagles by mid third quarter and the Tigers will impose their will and pull away in the second half.

See our Preview & Prediction from earlier this week.  Nothing changes as we see it.

Tigers 42 Eagles 13
