ALL IN : Elite DB Wiggins Commits to Clemson

CSN reported earlier that the Clemson Tigers was on the verge of flipping an LSU commitment. Today, it happened. Cornerback Nathaniel Wiggins made the flip and committed to the Tigers just days before the early signing period.

Wiggins, 6-2 170 out of Atlanta, Georgia, threw in with the Tigers after deciding to back off his commitment to LSU. The Baton Rouge Tigers are having a rough go of it with a ton of off-the-field issues, and that’s not including their rough season ON the field.

As we stated earlier, Wiggins played both ways while at Westlake High School, playing corner on defense and wide receiver on offense. He is rated as the 7th best cornerback in the country in the 2021 class.

Wiggins becomes the 2nd Clemson commit in the secondary and the 18th overall. The Tigers currently have the top ranked class in the ACC and 5th in the country. The only teams ahead of us (according to the 247 composite rankings) are Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia and LSU. Don’t be too surprised to see LSU drop in the future.

Early signing day is just around the corner. Stay tuned.
