Denver Downs Farm Contender for National Pumpkin Patch Honor
Anderson, SC – August 12, 2026 – Denver Downs Farm, a century farm in Anderson, South Carolina, is pleased to announce that their pumpkin patch has been nominated for the USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Travel Award Contest. The fourth-generation, family-owned and operated farm was selected by an expert panel as a Top 20 Pumpkin Patches and contender for the 10 Best Pumpkin Patches, beating out thousands of farms in the country.
Voting takes place until Monday, September 7th at this link and individuals can vote daily.

Denver Downs Farm not only has a beautiful and expansive pumpkin patch but they also offer an especially fun “Pumpkin Lights” walking trail after dark. Their fall festival is packed with a giant corn maze, flower garden, animals, and more than two dozen barnyard activities as well as the longest slide in the state of South Carolina.
Denver Downs will have 70 tons of pumpkins and gourds this season. Guests will enjoy the pick-your-own sunflowers and zinnias. During the past six years, Denver Downs has become famous for their farm grown jumbo-sized mums.
Readers’ Digest Magazine and Southern Living Magazine both have Denver Downs’ Pumpkin Patch ranked as the best in SC in past years. Last year ,Trip Advisor ranked Denver Downs in the Top 5% of Most Popular Attractions Worldwide.
The accolades have accumulated over the past decade: the Giant Corn Maze at Denver Downs Farm was selected seven times and voted to be among the USA Today’s 10 Best Corn Mazes Readers’ Choice travel awards, beating out over 500 other mazes in the country. Denver Downs has placed on the Top 10 list in 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 and are among only four corn mazes nominated in the Southeast. In 2025, they were first listed in the Top 10 Pumpkin Patches competition.
The Denver Downs Fall Festival runs September 25th through November 15th Fridays-Sundays (see website for times).
Food and beverage options include BBQ, corn dogs, chicken fingers, nachos, hot dogs, hamburgers, funnel cakes, cider slushies, Fall Frose, kettle corn, and adult beverages.
Live music and entertainment are performed each weekend (including the famous Pig-Tucky Derby Pig Races) and a great Fall Concert Series.
