Clemson head football coach Dabo Swinney held his weekly Sunday evening teleconference to discuss further Saturday’s 41-7 victory over the Wolfpack of NC State. 
Coach Swinney’s  started as always with an opening statement,  here is what Dabo had to tell the gathered media on the call. 

 

On watching the film of yesterday’s game Coach Swinney stated “Fun game to watch live an again on tape”. . . “ two games in a row we have played a complete football game” . . . on areas of concern following the dismantling of the Pack Swinney mentioned “Still a ton of room for improvement “. . . “Plenty of things to improve on “ But was quick to return to parsing his teams results from Saturday stating “Really tremendous performance . . . Growing in confidence we can win in different ways “  On the play of the offensive line he said “Thought our protection was very good” and was also very happy with one particular area of the offense in.. “Our 8 for 15 production on 3rd down”. And how the offense was able to capitalize on  “Points off turnovers”. Overall Swinney was very happy about “Lot of good things in the game and a lot of good energy . . . Like where our players  are “

 

 

 

On areas of concern he thought still needed to be worked on for the future he pointed out “ miscues on pre-snap communication “ . . . “Got beat on the double move” . . . “A lot of things in the special teams area . . . A little more consistency from a few players throughout the game “ and on pass protection specifically out of the running backs he stated “Running backs have to be better without the ball” 

He then briefly mentioned net Saturday’s opponent Florida State “FSU is a team that is really getting better”

 

 

And answering a question on the nonparticipation of KJ Henry Swinney mentioned they are planning to Red Shirt the former five-star recruit if at all possible, stating Henry wants to redshirt this season.
