In a dazzling display of offensive firepower, the No. 21 Clemson Tigers triumphed over the North Carolina State Wolfpack with a commanding 59-35 victory. This win not only marked a significant milestone for Clemson, securing their 800th all-time win, but also highlighted the team’s offensive resurgence under the leadership of junior quarterback Cade Klubnik.


Explosive Start

Clemson wasted no time in establishing their dominance. On the fourth play from scrimmage, Klubnik burst through a gap for a career-long 55-yard touchdown run, setting the tone for the game . This run was the longest by a Clemson quarterback since Trevor Lawrence’s 67-yard touchdown against Ohio State in 2019 .

Klubnik’s prowess wasn’t limited to his legs. He threw for three touchdowns, including a 31-yard strike to Antonio Williams and a 2-yard pass to the same receiver, showcasing his ability to make plays both on the ground and through the air . Klubnik finished the game with 209 passing yards, completing 16 of 24 attempts.

Running back Phil Mafah also had a standout performance, rushing for 107 yards on just seven carries, including a 38-yard touchdown run.

Mafah’s explosive runs helped Clemson maintain their offensive momentum, contributing significantly to the team’s 269 rushing yards.

The Tigers forced two first-quarter fumbles deep in NC State territory, both of which were converted into touchdowns
