Clemson vs Duke: By the Numbers

 

 

 

The Tigers are getting ready to open up ACC play. Saturday, the Tigers will play a primetime game against number one Duke. The Tigers are coming off an 84-67 win over Lipscomb. The Tigers had to handle a tough Lipscomb team who had already beaten SMU, TCU, Morehead State, Middle Tennessee, Navy and nearly beat Louisville, the Bison lost by four to the Cardinals. The Tigers forced 22 Bison turnovers. Lipscomb only claimed three offensive rebounds and hit 21-51 shots for 41.2%. Duke, however, did not play last week but surpassed Virginia for the number one spot in the Coaches poll.

 

 

 

    The Blue Devils are coming into this game averaging 91.6 points per game, 45.3 rebounds, 18.3 assists, and allowing 63.8 points per game. This season, RJ Barrett leads the team with 23.8 points per game, Tre Jones leads with 5.6 assists per game, Javin DeLaurier has an 86.2% field goal percentage. On the defensive side of the ball, Zion Williamson leads the team 9.4 rebounds per game, Cam Reddish averages 2.2 steals per game and Marquise Bolden averages 2.2 blocks per game. 

 

 

 

    The Tigers are coming into this game averaging 75.3 points per game, 35.8 rebounds per game, 12.3 assists per game and are allowing 65.9 points per game. This season, Marquise Reed leads the team with 20.1 points per game and 3.6 assists and Elijah Thomas leads the team with a 66.3% field goal percentage. On the defensive side of the ball, Elijah Thomas leads with 7.6 rebounds per game and 1.7 blocks per game and Marquise Reed has 2.1 steals per game.
