Recruiting basketball at Clemson is far different from football. Coach Dabo Swinney rarely offers players until their junior year. Coach Brad Brownell’s approach is just a little different.
Yesterday, Clemson offered 2023 point guard Caleb Foster. Although he is entering his sophomore year, he already has offers from Texas A&M, Wake Forest and Virginia Tech. Now, he adds Clemson to the list.
The 6-4 PG hails from Harrisburg, NC, and plays for Hickory Ridge High School. As a freshman, he averaged 16.6 points a game with 6.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists. While shooting 43% from the field, he also was deadly from the 3pt range, nailing 37% and is an 81% free throw shooter. Gaudy numbers for a freshman, helping lead his team to a 21-6 record. He is projected to hit 4-stardom when player rankings come out.
