Clemson fans received exciting news on Wednesday, January 8, 2026, as Oklahoma defensive tackle Markus Strong announced his commitment to the Tigers via the transfer portal.The 6’3″, 300-pound redshirt sophomore committed during his campus visit, capping a busy day for Dabo Swinney’s staff.

Strong becomes Clemson’s seventh portal addition this cycle—all on defense—and the second defensive lineman, joining West Georgia’s Kourtney Kelly.Strong appeared in multiple games for the Sooners in 2025, recording seven tackles, two for loss, one sack, and a notable safety against South Carolina.
