Clemson 2020 OL Commit Walker Parks Talks About Spring Game Visit

Clemson welcomed in some of the Nation’s biggest names in recruiting circles for the annual Orange & White Spring Game.  One of those names, already sitting on the Clemson 2020 Commit list is Bluegrass State native Walker Parks.  Parks who just received an invite to the Under Armour Game has been on the Clemson commit list for quite some after committing to the Tigers over offers from the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Louisville, Kentucky, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Penn St. Tennessee, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and more.

Walker took the time to speak with Clemson Sports News about the trip into Clemson for the Spring game and what all transpired as he checked in on the 2019 Tigers and Coaches.  And about bonding with his fellow commits and players that are on the bubble.

CSN: Tell us what it was like to visit Clemson as a “committed recruit?

WP: “Being committed is the best feeling ever. Knowing that your process is over and that your in good hands for college. No better feeling.”

CSN: What was the message from the coaching staff to you guys as you took in the day.

WP: “The coaches just wanted us to enjoy ourselves and meet the top players we hadn’t talked to yet. We all had a great day and are already super close”

CSN: Tell us about hanging out with your fellow OL commits. Y’all seem to be forming a bond since committing.

WP:  ” We are already to the point of making fun of each other I don’t think any other college has a group that is closer than us. We are all in a group chat and talk daily, those guys are my brothers”

CSN: How fun was it taking this photo, looking over at the amount talent you were with?

WP: “The photo was amazing and I think people forget we were missing Paul so we were down a lineman. If you can find me a picture with more talent in it I will be shocked”

CSN: Did you get the chance to talk with the newest commit today, RJ Mickens, and if so, what did y’all talk about?

WP:  “I introduced myself but did not get the opportunity to talk with him for long. I’m very glad he’s joining us he seems like a great dude”

CSN: What did you see today that you haven’t seen in past trips to Clemson, and what surprised you the most?

WP:  I saw all of us come together and pick up conversation like we never left off. And yes sir it was Demarkus.
