Brad Brownell and his Tigers are coming off a huge win over #11 Virginia Tech this past Saturday in front of a huge crowd at Littlejohn Coliseum and continued to keep their hopes of a run in the NCAA tournament alive. This week, the Tigers will head out on the road to take on Miami on Wednesday and #16 Louisville on Saturday. The Tigers are rolling into this game on a four game winning streak, 15-8, 5-5 in the ACC and are averaging 70.4 points per game, 34.9 rebounds, 12.3 assists and are allowing opponents to score on average 64.0 points.

 

The Miami Hurricanes are 10-13, ranked 14th in the ACC and are 2-9 in the ACC and are coming off a loss to North Carolina in OT 88-85. The Hurricanes come into the game averaging 73.1 points per game, 33.6 rebounds, 12.8 assists and are allowing 70.9 points to be scored by their opponents.

 

Offensively, the Hurricanes are led by Chris Lykes in points per game and assists. Lykes averages 16.9 points per game and 3.3 assists. Ebuka Izundu has the highest field goal percentage on the team shooting at 65.8%.

This is compared to Clemson, who is led by Marquise Reed in points per game and assists. Reed averages 18.9 points per game and 3.3 assists while Elijah Thomas leads the Tigers with the highest field goal percentage shooting at 65.7%.

 

Defensively, Ebuka Izundu leads the Hurricanes in rebounds and blocks per game. Izundu averages 8.8 rebounds per game and 1.3 blocks. Zach Johnson leads with 1.7 steals per game.

 

Clemson is led by Elijah Thomas defensively, Thomas averages 7.8 rebounds per game and 2.2 blocks while Marquise Reed leads the team with 2.0 steals per game.

 

The Tigers will be back home on Tuesday for a 9:00 p.m. tipoff with Florida State and for a noon tipoff with Boston College on the 23rd.
