Brad Brownell Previews South Carolina Game

Clemson Head Coach Brad Brownell met with the media on Friday afternoon and relayed to us the latest with his Tiger Basketball program as he prepared his team for Saturday’s in state rivalry with South Carolina. Clemson comes into the contest on the heels of two straight home victories bring their season record to 8-3 overall and yet to play inside the ACC.  The Gamecocks come into this game sporting a record of 4-6 and reeling after a recent losses to teams they were never expected to lose to in pre season. 

 

Brownell updated the status of Marquise Reed and on the play of his team as they get ready to close out the month of December and head into ACC play as the new year arrives. 

Clemson comes into the contest on the heels of two straight home victories bring their season record to 8-3 overall and yet to play inside the ACC. 

 

 

Injuries have plagued both programs so far this season and look to factor into Saturday’s contest as well. With Brownell mentioning that if Reed was indeed cleared to play it would be minimized as far as how many minutes and situations.

 

Brownell also mentioned how the improved play of Eli Thomas and that consistency has brought more dynamic continuity to the team.  And as the season evolves he and Thomas hits his stride it can only trickle down to his team mates.
