ALL IN: Lonestar Safety Commits to Clemson

By: Niel Burnett

Andrew Mukuba, the 7th best safety in the nation in the 2021 class, has committed to the Clemson Tigers. The 6-0 185 Mukuba had cut his favorite list down to 12 in May. He became the 16th Clemson commit in the 2021 class, which was ranked 5th prior to Mukuba’s commitment.

Mukuba’s offer sheet has reached 35 and is ready to step in and compete for playing time from day 1. Playing for LBJ Austin High School in Austin, Texas, Mukuba played both ways, safety on defense and wide receiver on offense. Defensively, he was in on 26 tackles with 2 interceptions. At WR, he hauled in 36 passes for 807 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Clemson’s 2021 class, currently ranked 5th, is once again solid from top to bottom. Of the 16 commitments, 10 are on offense and 6 on defense, and includes 1-5 star, 14 4-stars and 1-3 star (Bubba Chandler). Congrats to Clemson and Andrew Mukumba
