Clemson received some great news with regard to its 2019 recruiting class today, as it added Pennsylvania prospect Keith Maguire, Jr. The top-tier linebacker picked the Tigers over Alabama, Ohio State, Penn State and a host of other Power Five offers. Maguire makes commitment number 11 in the 2019 class with 14 remaining open slots to fill.
Maguire, who has been to Clemson as recently as the Orange and White Game, was personally recruited by Brent Venables. The Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach has a knack for identifying linebacker prospects from the mid-Atlantic—look no further than the NFL Draft and Dorian O’Daniel for an example.
The 6’2, 215-pound Maguire comes in as the #1 ranked linebacker in the Quaker State of Pennsylvania. We have reached out to Keith today and hope to get his thoughts about his commitment, so stay tuned right here to CSN!
