Will Taylor Calls First TD “Special Moment”

By: Grayson Mann

Will Taylor has had quite the journey from year one to year two. Will Taylor tore his ACL early in the season, following a good string of games where he became more integrated within the offense.

Taylor came in late in the game and, along with freshman quarterback Cade Klubnik, led a scoring drive that put the Tigers up 41-10. Taylor had two catches, with one of them being a touchdown.

Here is what Taylor had to say about that touchdown and the journey he has taken to get to score on that drive Monday night.

“It was a very special moment for me and my family; it has been a long ten-month process. It felt great to get out there and compete. I’m thankful to be out there healthy and do what I love.”

Will Taylor certainly has a role to play within this offense, being able to do so many different things with the ball. His experience as a quarterback has undoubtedly helped his transition, as he has noticed certain tendencies of defenders.

Taylor looks to his first home game this Saturday as the Tigers take on Furman on September 10th.
