
DURHAM, N.C. – The Clemson track and field program officially wrapped up competition at the Duke Invitational on Saturday afternoon in Durham.
Multiple Tigers recorded new personal or season bests as Clemson continues to impress in the outdoor season. The women, who are ranked 13th in the nation, showed out in Durham as a variety of athletes improved their times and marks on Clemson’s all-time list and recorded top finishes in their respective events.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
- Oneka Wilson finished first overall in the women’s 100 meter hurdles as she ran 13.16 to secure the fastest time of the meet
- Ella Brooks moved up on the top ten list as she now sits at No. 8 all-time after throwing 54.31m in the women’s hammer throw
- Shantae Foreman jumped her best mark of the season in the women’s long jump as she secured second place overall with a mark of 6.04m
- Ryan John finished second overall in the men’s triple jump with a mark of 15.09m. Jordan Sowell and Xavion Lockwood both recorded new personal bests in the event as well
- Maddie Dinneen secured a new personal best in the women’s 3000 steeplechase as she improves her No. 4 time to 10:25.67 to finish third in Durham. Madison Roush also recorded a new personal best in the event to improve her top ten time as she ran 10:40.23
- In the women’s 1500 meters, Silvia Jelelgo recorded a new personal best with a time of 4:15.67 as she finished fourth overall
- Clemson secured second, third and fourth place in the women’s 800 meters as Gladys Chepngetich, Judy Kosgei and Brynne Sumner all finished in the top five
- JodyAnn Dixon added her name to the top ten list at No. 10 after running 57.48 in the women’s 400 meter hurdles
