Tony Elliott
After coming off of a bye week, Offensive Coordinator Tony Elliott met with media via Zoom to discuss Clemson’s week break and the game coming up against Florida State. Elliott explained how he challenges all eleven guys on the field to be on the same level and how he thinks that helps make his offense efficient. This strategy will be vital when facing the Florida State defense on Saturday. Elliott is expecting the Seminoles to give out their best effort and is prepared to face a deep defensive line.
This Saturday also brings the return of starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Elliott emphasized the amount of energy that Lawrence has had being back out on the field. After missing a reasonable amount of time, Elliott explained how this week will show where Lawrence’s performance is after his time off.
Elliott has been pushing his offensive line to prepare for big snaps so that any player is ready to go whenever needed—further explaining how we’re seeing more from young players like Walker Parks. Elliott believes that Parks is a versatile player that knows how to handle big snaps in game situations.
Elliott and his offense will spend this week preparing to face the Florida State Seminoles on Saturday at noon.
