The Tigers took to Doug Kingsmore in a midweek matchup against the Furman Paladins. The Tigers were coming off of a series win over Louisville. Jacob Hennessy took to the mound and quickly made an impact as he retired the first three at bat in the first inning.
Clemson and Furman both would remain scoreless until the bottom of the fifth inning when a Kyle Wilkie RBI would send Sam Hall across home plate and the Tigers would take the lead 1-0.
Hennessy would end up pitching 6.1 innings, allowing 2 hits, no runs and three strikeouts. Hennessy would exit the mound to a standing ovation from the Tiger fans in attendance and would be relieved by Brooks Crawford.
Clemson would add another run in the bottom of the 8th on a Bo Majkowski RBI that would bring Grayson Byrd across home plate and would help propel the Tigers to a 2-0 victory.
Clemson hits the road for a weekend series in Tallahassee with the Florida State Seminoles and will return home for a weekend series with Duke April 19th-22nd.
