Tigers Seek 4 Star Texas Slot Reciever

Clemson 2022 football recruiting is starting to heat up. Texas quarterback Cade Klubnik committed to the Tigers earlier this week and it could affect the recruitment of a highly sought after talent in wide receiver Brenen Thompson out of Spearman, Texas.

The speedy Thompson is a two-sport athlete for Spearman High School, playing wide receiver for the football team and running track as well. Thompson, 5-10 165, runs the 100 meters in 10.32 and the 200 meters in 21.51 seconds, and also competes in the long jump.

He is currently listed as the #8 athlete in the country, and to date, Thompson has received 36 offers. With one more year of high school ball left to play, that number could reach 40+ easily,

In December 2020, Thompson released his Top 12, that included Clemson, Oklahoma, and several others. He is reportedly visiting Texas A&M this upcoming weekend and there is a big push to keep him home. However, how much of an influence can/will Klubnik be on this talented athlete? According to 247 Crystal Balls, it appears he is leaning towards Clemson. Time will tell. The Tigers seem to be in good position with it’s recent success in Texas (JC Chalk, leRJ Mickens, Andrew Mukuba, Cade Klubnik). Stay tuned to CSN for more on Brenen Thompson.
