Tigers Offer Michigan Defensive Tackle

The Clemson Tigers finally hit the “50” offer point today, offering Michigan DT Alex VanSumeren. VanSumeren is currently ranked as the #4 player in the state of Michigan and the #16 DT in the country in the 2022 class.

The big DT, 6-3 285, currently has 14 offers to date, to include Power 5 schools Alabama, Wisconsin, Michigan and Penn State to mention a few. Michigan is the early favorite to land this talent but it is still early in his recruitment. He helped lead Garber High School, Essexville, MI, to a 7-2 record by recording 63 tackles, 19 tackles for loss and 8 sacks.

VanSumeren becomes the 50th player offered by the Tigers and the 6th defensive tackles for this class.
