Tigers Finish Strong At Clemson Invitational

CLEMSON, S.C. — The Tigers finished strong as they wrapped up the Clemson Invitational Saturday at the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Complex. Saturday was highlighted by Danielle Sloley earning a spot in Clemson record books as her 16.68 meter throw in the shot put is the second best in school history. Cameron Rose also impressed, as he just narrowly missed beating his own record by .06 seconds in the 300 meter where he holds the second fastest time in school history at a 32.90 seconds. Jake Vecellio, Mackenzie Steele, and Samuel Garringer all improved this weekend as they set their own personal records. Clemson now looks ahead to its next meets, the Vanderbilt Invitational and Texas Tech Red Raider Open on January 20-21 in Nashville, Tennessee and Lubbock, Texas, respectively.

  • Cameron Rose ran a 32.96 time in the 300 meter, which comes close to his record of 32.90, the second fastest recorded time in school history.
