Clemson continued to show up big in the 2020 NFL Draft as first round choices of Isaiah Simmons and AJ Terrell set the stage for a big draft in regards to Clemson. The latest off the board is Tee Higgins the 3 year starter at wideout and holder of several Clemson records in receiving. Higgins is tied with Sammy Watkins and Deandre Hopkins for the all time Tiger touchdown reception record. A player that could win at the point of attack and had deceptive speed with the ball in his hands, with a career yards per catch of 18.6 Higgins is a proven deep threat at anytime of the game.
The 6’4″ Higgins committed to Clemson over instate Tennessee and a host of other power five suitors and came to help continue the “WRU” brand started by now former Clemson wide receiver coach and new head coach at South Florida Jeff Scott. Higgins can now move on to the NFL having passed the torch to former teammates Justyn Ross and Amari Rodgers to continue forwarding the Tigers as “WRU” in 2020.
With the his pick by the Bengals , Higgins will join Heisman winner Joe Burrow the #1 overall pick in the draft. The two are actually familiar with each other having worked out together pre draft in Los Angeles earlier in the year.
