Shipley Named Hornung Award Finalist

The Louisville Sports Commission announced today that Clemson running back Will Shipley has been named as one of four finalists for this year’s Paul Hornung Award, given annually to the nation’s most versatile player.

Shipley, a four-time Hornung Award Honor Roll selection this season, has recorded three games with 175 or more all-purpose yards this season and stands with Texas A&M’s Devon Achane as the only players in the country with 800+ rushing yards, 150+ receiving yards and 200+ kickoff return yards this season. Shipley joins Travis Etienne (2020) as the only Clemson players to be selected as a Paul Hornung Award finalist since the award’s inception in 2010.

To supplement the selection committee’s consideration of Shipley’s candidacy, fans are encouraged to vote for Shipley for the award at louisvillesports.org/paul-hornung/award-poll.
