Recruiting: Tigers Offer Mississippi Running Back

The Clemson Tigers went into the state of Mississippi yesterday and offered one of the top running backs in the nation, Branson Robinson of Madison, Mississippi.

The 4-star Robinson is currently ranked as the #2 player in the state of Mississippi, and the #7 overall running back in the country in the 2022 class. His 15 offers include powerhouses such as Alabama, Georgia, and Auburn. Expect this number to rise.

As a junior, Robinson was pretty much the offense for his team. He had 121 carries for 1179 yards (9.7) and 15 touchdowns. In 9 games, he only had 4 receptions. The 5-11 220 RB is more of a power back but another former Clemson running back, Travis Etienne, only had 7 receptions over his last two years of high school. Things change.

Robinson became the 3rd running back offered in this Clemson class so far. One has committed to Alabama, and the other is Trevor Etienne, who is still undecided. He is considered to be a Georgia/Mississippi State battle but a Clemson offer is nothing to sneeze at. More to come on this talented back.
