Travis Etienne spoke with the media following fall camp practice on Friday, August 14th. In his time with the press, the star running back spoke on his weight loss, the COVID-19 season and how he thinks the season will look once we start playing.
Etienne began the availability speaking on his weight loss, as RB1 dropped down to 199 at weigh-ins last week. Etienne stated that: “I’m my best when I’m free to go out there and play free and not worry about all the other stuff going on.”
Etienne also stated that the transformation came after looking at some of the most successful running backs in the NFL as of late, and how they were smaller and more compact with their weight.
When the questions started to come up about the COVID-19 season and how Etienne thought it would pan out the running back said he was fully 100% opted in and does not regret not declaring for the 2020 NFL Draft and coming back to play for the Tigers during his senior year.
Etienne was also asked about some new faces on the Tigers Football Team. Etienne boasted about freshman running backs Kobe Pace and Demarkus Bowman and raved about the four new guys on the offensive line. “Like coach said, we don’t rebuild, we reload”
