The week after the ACC Championship game, Clemson handed an offer to another 2022 prospect. TE Oscar Delp out of Cummings, Georgia, picked up the offer, which is the 45th offer handed out by the Tigers for this class. In contrast with the other three CFP teams, Alabama has offered 166, Notre Dame 115, and Ohio State 88. The Clemson offer is still one the most wanted for high school players in the country.
Delp, 6-5 220, played football at West Forsyth High School in Cummings. As a junior, Delp played in 9 games, hauling in 43 passes for 730 yards and 9 touchdowns for the 9-4 Wolverines. To date, Delp has 21 offers, to include offers from Michigan, Georgia, Alabama and Auburn, to name a few. That list will likely grow, so stay tuned to CSN for further information.
The 4-star TE is currently ranked as the 10th best tight end in the country and 24th best player in the state of Georgia for the 2022 class.
Delp’s uncle played at Clemson and was actually the roommate of current Clemson coach Brandon Streeter. Good bloodlines.
