Tigers Add Mills to 2020 Signing Class

CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson women’s tennis team has added Makayla Mills to its 2020 roster, as announced by head coach Christy Lynch on Friday afternoon. The signing marks the first during Lynch’s tenure.

“I’m excited to welcome Makayla Mills to Clemson,” stated Lynch. “Makayla has a strong work ethic and passion for the game that I feel will help strengthen our team as a whole. She has also excelled in the classroom and will be a great addition to our program!”

Native to Wilmington, N.C., Mills is a five-star recruit and was ranked as high as No. 38 in the country. In 2018 and 2019 Mills won the Chrissy Award for Outstanding Work Ethic. Mills trains at Evert Tennis Academy in Boca Raton, Fla.
