Here they Come!!! “ALL IN” Expected Today!

Clemson football gearing up and it’s only a couple of weeks before the guys report for the upcoming season and fall practice. Recruiting, however, continues to pick up steam. The next couple of weeks will find two Clemson targets announcing their schools of choice.

5-star Safety Keon Sabb of IMG Academy in Florida will be announcing Saturday, July 17th. This talented safety has been a Clemson lean for quite a while and if that holds true, he will join an already talented secondary class. Sabb transferred this year to IMG and will play on the same defense as recent Clemson commit Jihaad Campbell. 4-star’s CB Toriano Pride and S Sherrod Covil committed to the Tigers not too long ago.

Another 4-star Cornerback is set to announce his school of choice on July 28th. Jeadyn Lukus, of nearby Mauldin, SC, reportedly will commit on his mother’s birthday. Lukus has been a Clemson lean as well, but UNC has put heavy duty pressure on him, trying to take him from the state. Not sure how much luck Mack Brown is going to have with this one.

If the Tigers are able to get these two, they could very well have one of the best, if not THE best, 2022 secondary classes in the country.

This Clemson recruiting class is taking it’s time in developing. With only 8 commitments to date, we need to remember that Dabo and staff are still into recruiting quality and not quantity. Don’t expect Clemson to suddenly start tossing out 150-200 offers and see who they can get. For example, the team in the middle of the state has handed out 214 2022 offers so far, reeling in 15 commits and ranked 17th in the country in recruiting. They have 2 4-stars and 13 3-stars, with an average rating of 0.8761. The Tigers on the other hand have offered 69 players, securing 8, ranked 32nd at the moment, with an average rating of 0.9202 based on 7 4-stars and a 3-star kicker. See how that works? Quality over quantity. They still go after the top talent and focus on that talent. People might be tired of hearing it but the best really is yet to come.
