Quotes from Coaches and Players
Dabo Swinney, Clemson’s head coach, didn’t mince words after the game: “First of all, congrats to Georgia. It was a tough, hard-fought first half and then they just freakin’ kicked our tails in the second half. They’re a great team, and they showed in the third and fourth quarter what it looks like. Just really disappointed… When you get beat like that, that’s on the head coach. That’s on me”.

Carson Beck, Georgia’s quarterback, reflected on the team’s performance: “We had a game plan, and we executed it. The chemistry on offense is the best it could be.We knew what we had to do, and we went out there and did it”
.
Malaki Starks, Georgia’s defensive back, shared his thoughts on his interception: “I kind of knew what they were doing, and I was running with them. When the speed changed, I knew the ball was coming. I really just wanted to get in phase and work in lane. It worked out”.

Looking Ahead

Clemson will look to bounce back in their home opener against Appalachian State next Saturday, while Georgia will host Tennessee Tech in what is expected to be a more straightforward matchup.

Despite the tough loss, Clemson fans can take solace in the fact that the season is just beginning, and there’s plenty of time for the Tigers to regroup and make a strong push in the coming weeks
