Final Thoughts:

This game was a great teaching moment for Trevor Lawrence. Quarterback Kelly Bryant went down during the second quarter, falling hard on his head and chest and did not return for the second half. It was up to Trevor to step up and become the leader of the offense and learning that careless mistakes can be made, such as the interception that would set Georgia Southern up for a touchdown, but you learn to shake those off and focus on the next play.

The Tigers started off with many miscues and mistakes but would get the job done. The team still has a lot to work on before traveling to Atlanta to take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets next Saturday and the start of ACC conference play.
