Football Recruiting Nugget: 4 Star Defensive Back Trending Orange

Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers had hoped to get a “treat” on Halloween night, but 4-star DT Kayden McDonald slipped them a “trick” and committed to Ohio State instead. Not to worry, Tiger fans.

The 2023 recruiting class is already full of highly rated defensive linemen and won’t feel the loss as much as one might think. The class is currently ranked 10th in the country and probably done for 2023.

2024 4-star Cornerback Tavoy “Seatbelt” Feagin posted today on social media that he would be announcing his commitment on November 20th. Sources say he is leaning hard towards Clemson. 247 has a few crystal balls saying the same thing.

Playing for Carrollwood Day High School in Tampa, he has registered 21 tackles in seven games and defended on seven passes. He is currently ranked as the 6th best safety in the 2024 class. He would be the first commit for Clemson in this class.
