Deandre “NUK” Hopkins Becomes Highest Paid Non QB in NFL History

Deandre Hopkins Inks HUGE Deal

By Zachary Wagner

Not even 72 hours after Deshaun Watson became the highest paid quarterback in the NFL, former Clemson wide receiver Deandre Hopkins just inked a 2-year, 54.4 million dollar extension with the Arizona Cardinals. The $27.25 million a year makes Hopkins the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

Hopkins spent his first seven years in the league with the Houston Texans, catching passes from Watson for the last three seasons. This off-season, Hopkins was traded from the Texans to the Cardinals and joins a prolific offense out on the West Coast.

Although the two won’t be on the same sideline anymore, they can now say they are the two highest paid players at their position.

Clemson in the pros is slowly showing why the Tigers have had such success in recent years in college football. Watch for names like Mike Williams, Christain Wilkens and Grady Jarret to be the next former Tigers to get a LARGE pay day.
