Dabo Speaks Post Scrimmage

Dabo Swinney Scrimmage Report

Wednesday was the final major scrimmage for the tigers. Here’s what we learned.

The first to note is that DJ is stringing together some great days. Dabo said DJ is making more plays with his legs and is more creative within the offense. DJ adding an extra dimension within his game would be a nice boost for this Tigers team that didn’t see many dedicated runs for DJ last year.

Xavier Thomas’s status was updated as well. Dabo mentioned he is progressing well but will miss the Georgia Tech opener. He got to discuss how they have four starters at defensive end in XT, KJ, Myles and Mascoll. The depth on the defensive line will have a chance to shine with XT missing some time.

Dabo also heavily praised the tight end group. This group could make a major leap and add another aspect of the offense that hasn’t seen significant production since the days of Jordan Leggett.

With the season getting ready to roll, hearing these encouraging thoughts from Dabo is a great sign for things to come as kickoff rapidly approaches.
