Clemson Head Football Coach Dabo Swinney met with the media via Zoom for his weekly press conference. Coach Swinney gave his final thoughts on the Tigers come-from-behind win over Boston College and previewed the top-ranked matchup with Notre Dame.

Clemson holds an overall 3-1 record over the Irish, but this will be the first time since 1979, when the Tigers went into South Bend and left with a 16-10 win under Head Coach Danny Ford.

With it being Coach Swinney’s and the teams first trip to South Bend in over 40 years, the team will travel to the historic Notre Dame Stadium on Friday night to take in the atmosphere of the environment.

Clemson will once again be without its best player on both sides of the ball Saturday, as Trevor Lawrence and James Skalski will be sidelined. Both will make the trip to South Bend, and as Coach Swinney put it, be coaches for the Tigers on Saturday night.

After the team got today, Tuesday November 3rd, off for election day, Coach Swinney is anxious and excited to get back at it with his team on Wednesday.

Swinney also gave some high praise to the Fighting Irish, stating that there is a reason they are ranked fourth in the nation. Notre Dame comes in with one of the best defenses in the nation and will be facing a true freshman leading the Tigers under center in D.J. Uiagalelei.

Clemson will square off with Notre Dame for the first time since the 2018 Cotton Bowl on Saturday night in South Bend, Indiana. Kick is set for 7:30 pm on NBC.
