CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson is set to begin its cross country season on Friday, Sept. 2 when the men’s and women’s teams each head to Kennesaw State for a dual meet at Noon Day Park. The women will run a 4k at 7:15 p.m. and the men will run a 6k at 7:45 p.m.
Head Coach Vicky Pounds enters her fourth year at the helm of the program, and is looking to lead the promising young team to a successful 2022 season. The squad features a strong mix of returning experience and young talent. Jackson Leech and Marlin Young look to lead the men’s program, while Brynne Sumner and Meredith Finley figure to be key contributors for the women.
Newcomers Maddie Dinneen and Nicole Pizzo could be early factors for the women. The men will look for Sawyer Dagan to improve upon his strong freshman season and step up as well.
