Head Coach Dabo Swinney announced that Trevor Lawrence will not play versus Notre Dame. The nations top college football player and inevitably the top draft pick in the 2021 NFL draft, will not play in the biggest game of the College football season as two top five teams are set to clash.
Lawrence would be able to play for the Tigers once his 10-day isolation period is over. Unlike other teams though, Clemson has a “cardiac assessment” for all players after a positive COVID test. The assessment usually takes around 2 or 3 days to pass, which puts Lawrence’s return to play on Sunday.
